Some in Singapore are pushing back against blame directed at event organisers, arguing the country has run major events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix and entertainment shows for years without problems. The argument is that organisers are not responsible for attendees who litter or behave badly, and that unruly visitors should be held accountable for their own actions rather than organisers.

Why now: Recent criticism of Singapore event organisers over crowd behaviour has sparked debate about who is responsible for attendees' conduct.
