Political commentary online is arguing that the United States cannot achieve meaningful reform through normal political means, with one widely shared view claiming there is no path to a better world short of the complete dissolution of the country. The claim reflects a fringe but vocal anti-American sentiment within US political discussions, framed around the argument that the country has become irredeemably authoritarian.
Why now: Ongoing anger over the direction of US politics is pushing some commentators toward radical anti-establishment rhetoric.
