Original: # BBCNews - Russian strikes and approaching winter force many in Kyiv to pack bags and flee https://www. bbc.co.uk/news/
BBC News reports that Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, combined with the approaching winter, are pushing many residents of Kyiv to pack their bags and leave the capital. Repeated attacks on power facilities have left households facing blackouts and heating shortages, prompting families to relocate elsewhere in Ukraine or abroad as cold weather sets in.
Why now: Ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and the onset of winter are forcing renewed displacement from the capital.
