Original: vaccinations

Health officials say this year's flu season began earlier and in different places than expected, and they are urging people to get vaccinated now rather than wait. The Los Angeles Times reports the unusual timing has caught health authorities off guard, with clinics pushing flu shots ahead of the typical schedule as cases climb.
