Manchester United supporters are reviving a famous Old Trafford ticker-tape flag display from 1976, when fans celebrated City's trophy as their 'last' after beating them. The gesture, mocking Manchester City's trophy history, is being brought back ahead of a new Manchester derby, playing on one of football's longest-running and most pointed pieces of fan banter between the two rival clubs.
Why now: The Manchester derby rivalry has been reignited by fans resurrecting a historic mocking display about City's trophies.
