German podcast on tobacco, alcohol and fossil fuel lobbies gains attention

Original: Sehr cooler Podcast, den ich gerade höre: "Reich" vom # MDR über die gemeinsame Geschichte der Tabak-, Alkohol- und Foss

Listeners are recommending "Reich", a podcast by German public broadcaster MDR, which explores the shared history of the tobacco, alcohol and fossil fuel industries and their disinformation campaigns. One listener praised it as excellent and joked that it would count as true crime if most of the industries' conduct were not largely legal.

Why now: The podcast's framing of corporate lobbying and disinformation as crime-like behaviour is resonating with audiences.
