Original: AI-generated 'actress' Tilly Norwood making feature film debut in 'Misaligned'
Tilly Norwood, an entirely AI-generated actress, is set to make her feature film debut in the upcoming movie 'Misaligned'. The news has drawn attention because it marks one of the first times a fully synthetic performer is headlining a film, reigniting debate in Hollywood over AI's role in acting, the livelihoods of human performers, and the ethics of digital casting.
Why now: The use of an AI-generated actress in a real feature film touches a nerve amid ongoing industry disputes over artificial intelligence and jobs in entertainment.
