Original: "Ukraine's FP-7 enters combat: The homegrown ballistic missile designed for mass production" # Politics # News # USA # G
Ukraine has reportedly deployed its FP-7 ballistic missile in combat, a domestically developed weapon designed with mass production in mind. The missile is part of Kyiv's push to expand its own long-range strike capability against Russia amid continued constraints on Western arms supplies. Observers are weighing what the weapon's battlefield debut means for Ukraine's defense industry and the wider war.
Why now: News of a newly fielded Ukrainian ballistic missile is significant given the war's intensity and Ukraine's push for weapons self-sufficiency.
