Ukraine's Battlefield Robots Covered 4,200 km Rescuing 45 Troops
Original: Ukraine’s Battlefield Robots Traversed 4,200 km in Total to Save 45 Troops, Commander Says
A Ukrainian commander says ground robots used on the battlefield have travelled a combined 4,200 km and helped rescue 45 wounded or trapped troops. The unmanned vehicles are increasingly used to evacuate casualties and deliver supplies in dangerous zones where sending soldiers would risk further losses, underlining Ukraine's growing reliance on robotic systems in the war with Russia.
Why now: It highlights how drone and robot warfare is reducing human risk on Ukraine's front lines, a subject of wide interest as the war continues.
