'Nightmare' Panned as Derivative Psychological Horror
Original: 'Nightmare' is like a hotel band doing the greatest hits of psychological horror, you recognize the tune but eh. Full ★½
A new review of the film 'Nightmare' gives it one and a half stars, calling it a retread of familiar psychological horror moves. The reviewer compares the movie to a hotel band playing greatest hits — recognizable but uninspired — suggesting the film borrows from better genre entries without adding anything of its own.
Why now: The film is newly released and a negative review is drawing attention among horror fans.
