The NYPD released bodycam footage on Friday showing officers arriving at the scene of a shooting in which a man was wounded. The footage begins after the man is already on the ground and does not capture the shooting itself or the events leading up to it, drawing criticism that the release does not provide a complete picture of what happened.

Why now: The footage leaves key questions unanswered about the shooting, prompting public scrutiny of the NYPD's account.
