Flydubai co-pilot planned 9/11-style strike on Ben Gurion Airport, UAE says

Original: Flydubai co-pilot planned 9/11-style suicide strike on Ben Gurion Airport, UAE says

UAE authorities say a Flydubai co-pilot was plotting a 9/11-style suicide attack targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. The announcement came via Israeli and regional media citing the UAE, and details about the suspect's identity, arrest, or the plot's progress have not yet been made public. The claim is drawing attention given Flydubai's commercial ties to Israel following the Abraham Accords normalization.

Why now: The UAE publicly alleging a terrorism plot by one of its airline's pilots against a major Israeli airport is an alarming and unusual development for UAE-Israel relations.
