Microsoft and Adobe have been suspended from the H-1B visa program, with US Vice President JD Vance accusing the two tech giants of fraud. The move bars the companies from sponsoring skilled foreign workers under the program for the time being. It marks one of the most high-profile enforcement actions against major technology employers over their use of H-1B visas.
Why now: A rare, high-profile suspension of two of the biggest tech companies from the H-1B program, backed by accusations of fraud from the vice president, has drawn wide attention.
