Olivier Besancenot lifts France 5's 'C ce soir' to season best

Original: olivier besancenot

French commentator and activist Olivier Besancenot is in the ratings news: his appearance on France 5's 'C ce soir' drove the programme to its best audience of the season, while France 2's 'Télématin' is losing viewers, according to Yahoo Actualités. The contrast between the public broadcaster's morning decline and the evening talk show's strong performance is drawing attention to Besancenot's media appeal.

Why now: New TV audience figures show a striking ratings surge for a programme featuring the well-known far-left figure, alongside a slump for a rival France 2 morning show.
