Harvard Graduate Student Union Authorizes Another Strike
Harvard's graduate student union has voted to authorize another strike, according to Harvard Magazine. The authorization means members can walk off the job if contract negotiations with the university do not produce an agreement. Graduate student workers at Harvard have staged strikes and picketed before, and the renewed strike mandate signals continued tension over pay, benefits, or working conditions. No strike date was immediately announced.
Why now: A vote authorizing a strike is a significant escalation in ongoing labor negotiations between Harvard and its graduate workers.
