A Mercedes driver reportedly drove through salt water flooding, drawing warnings that the car's electrical systems will corrode and fail weeks or months later. Observers are mocking the decision, noting salt water is notoriously destructive to modern vehicles, which are packed with electronics and wiring that deteriorate even after the car seems fine.
Why now: Flooding events have put salt-water-damaged cars in the spotlight, with people warning about delayed electrical failures.
