National Guard reported at DC ballot box, raising concerns
Original: DC ballot box Guard reports
Reports describe National Guard personnel present at a ballot drop box in Washington, DC, during voting. The claim has drawn attention because military presence at polling locations is unusual in the United States and raises questions about voter intimidation and the separation of the military from election administration. Officials have not confirmed the circumstances or purpose of the deployment.
Why now: Military presence at an election site touches on fears of voter intimidation and politicisation of the Guard.
