Enric Mas laughs off Alberto Contador comparisons

Original: enric mas

Spanish cyclist Enric Mas has responded to those comparing him with former champion Alberto Contador, calling the comparison 'ridiculous'. The Mallorca-born Movistar rider made the remarks in an interview, drawing reaction from cycling fans in Spain. Mas, a multiple Grand Tour podium finisher, has long been seen as Spain's top general classification hope, which explains the frequent parallels drawn with Contador.

Why now: Mas's blunt rejection of comparisons with a Spanish cycling icon is a quotable remark circulating among fans.
