Retro pairing links Dead or Alive 5 with Apollo Brown and Skyzoo track
Original: 🎵🎦 Dead Or Alive 5 (2012) [X] Apollo Brown & Skyzoo - Basquiat On The Draw (ft W. Gunn & Conway) # soundtrack # DeadOrAl
Fans of retro gaming are pairing the 2012 fighting game Dead or Alive 5 with the track 'Basquiat on the Draw' by Apollo Brown and Skyzoo, featuring Westside Gunn and Conway. The song comes from their 2016 collaboration, and the matchup highlights the beat-driven hip-hop sound used alongside classic PS3 and Xbox 360-era titles.
Why now: Nostalgia for PS3/Xbox 360-era games combined with appreciation of the underground hip-hop track is driving the pairing.
