Odesa is experiencing a full-scale power blackout, with reports that communications systems across the Ukrainian port city have gone down entirely. The outage is being described as an attack on infrastructure, and observers are tracking the situation as information from the city becomes scarce. Odesa has repeatedly been targeted in strikes on Ukraine's energy grid, and a total loss of electricity and connectivity would affect hundreds of thousands of residents.
Why now: Reports of a major city losing all power and communications are breaking news with limited information available.
