Cyberpunk 2077 film adaptation announced

Original: Cyberpunk 2077 is being made into a movie, even though we've already got the perfect cyberpunk movie starring Keanu Reev

Cyberpunk 2077 is being adapted into a movie. The news has sparked debate among gamers and film fans, with some arguing that the 1995 cult classic Johnny Mnemonic, starring Keanu Reeves as a character named Johnny, already delivered the definitive cyberpunk film experience. Others note the irony that Reeves also appears in Cyberpunk 2077 itself as Johnny Silverhand, making the connection between the two projects a talking point.

Why now: A film adaptation of a major, troubled-at-launch video game naturally draws attention and debate among fans
