Flydubai co-pilot accused of plotting suicide attack on Israel
Original: Flydubai co-pilot plotted ‘suicide’ attack on Israel, UAE says https://www. aljazeera.com/news/2026/10/9/f lydubai-co-pi
UAE authorities say a Flydubai co-pilot planned a suicide attack targeting Israel. According to the Attorney General, the suspect admitted acting alone after psychologically preparing himself. The announcement, reported by Al Jazeera, is drawing wide attention given the suspect's position as a commercial pilot and the sensitive regional context between the UAE and Israel.
Why now: The rare accusation against an active airline co-pilot, combined with Israel-UAE tensions, makes the case highly newsworthy.
