Firing squad execution to be livestreamed, Pentagon says
Original: Firing squad execution of man who killed 13 soldiers to be livestreamed, Pentagon says https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articl
The Pentagon says the execution by firing squad of a man convicted of killing 13 soldiers is to be livestreamed. It would be a rare use of the firing squad in the United States, and the broadcast of an execution is highly unusual, drawing attention to both the method of execution and the decision to stream it publicly.
Why now: The extraordinary combination of a firing squad execution and its livestreaming, involving the killing of 13 soldiers, is drawing wide attention.
