US commentator mocked over anti-European remarks
Original: You can take that Italian flag out of your bio you anti European freak. It’s ironic considering the USA has been invaded
American political commentator Joey Mannarino is facing mockery after comments disparaging Europeans. Critics pointed out the irony of his stance, with one user telling him to remove the Italian flag from his profile, noting that the United States has historically been invaded more often than France. The exchange is circulating widely among European and American users trading insults over identity and history.
Why now: A provocative remark by a US commentator is drawing ridicule and fuelling an online transatlantic feud.
