Las Vegas Braces for Rain from Tropical Storm Rachel Remnants
Original: Las Vegas could see an inch of rain by Tuesday from remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel
Forecasters say Las Vegas could receive about an inch of rain by Tuesday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel move through the region. For a desert city that typically gets little rainfall, that amount is significant, raising the possibility of localized flooding and disruptions to travel and outdoor plans early in the week.
Why now: Rare substantial rainfall in Las Vegas tied to a tropical storm's remnants is drawing attention.
