Saturday insect photography spotlights the bee-wolf wasp

Original: Guten Morgen und einen entspannten Samstag! 😀 👋 Zum # Insektensamstag heute ein sogenannter Bienenwolf (Philanthus trian

German-speaking nature photographer Martin Schemm wished followers a relaxed Saturday with close-up images of a bee-wolf (Philanthus triangulum), a solitary digger wasp, perched on a flowering globe thistle (Echinops). The post is part of the regular 'Insect Saturday' hashtag tradition, where amateur photographers share macro shots of insects each weekend.

Why now: It is a weekend contribution to the recurring Insect Saturday photography hashtag popular in German nature communities.
