Trump fumes over Nobel peace prize snub and criticizes Norway

Donald Trump reacted angrily after being passed over for the Nobel Peace Prize, directing criticism at Norway, whose government appoints the prize committee. The remarks add to a long-running dispute over the award, which Trump has repeatedly said he deserves, and have drawn attention to tensions with a close NATO ally ahead of the prize announcement.

Why now: The Nobel Peace Prize decision is in the news and Trump's public anger over being denied the award is generating widespread reaction.
