Writer explores beauty in dismissed and unclaimed art
Original: beauty and celebration in the creation in the dismissal of unclaimed art https:// subspacewagon.systems/beauty-a nd-cele
A poet writing under the banner of a disabled-artist community has published a new piece, 'Beauty and Celebration in the Creation in the Dismissal of Unclaimed Art', shared via the Exeunt poetry platform. The essay reflects on work that goes unclaimed or unnoticed by institutions, finding beauty and cause for celebration in art made at the margins and dismissed by gatekeepers. Writers and readers in poetry circles are sharing and discussing it.
Why now: The essay resonates with poetry and disabled-artist communities discussing labour and recognition in the arts.
