Leonardo DRS to build counter-drone radars in Britain
Original: radar
Defence contractor Leonardo DRS has announced plans to manufacture counter-drone radar systems in Britain. The move comes amid rising demand for anti-drone technology across Europe, driven by increased drone activity near military and critical infrastructure sites. Industry observers see the UK production plans as a signal of growing Western investment in counter-unmanned aerial system defences.
Why now: Growing concern over drone threats has put counter-drone defence contracts in the spotlight.
