Verstappen takes F1 sprint pole with a single flying lap
Original: course sprint f1
Max Verstappen secured pole position for the F1 sprint with just one timed lap, according to Motorsport.com. The Dutchman needed a single quick run to set the fastest time, underlining his pace ahead of the sprint race. Fans and commentators are debating the strategy, with questions over whether rivals saved tyres or simply lacked pace.
Why now: Verstappen's unusually efficient one-lap run to sprint pole is drawing attention after the qualifying session.
