A new German website called Virenampel — 'virus traffic light' — has launched to give the public an easy colour-coded overview of current respiratory infection levels, modelled on the familiar rain radar. It covers influenza, COVID-19 and RSV, aiming to help people plan weekend activities and assess infection risk at a glance during the cold season.
Why now: Respiratory infection season is driving demand for simple, up-to-date tools to gauge flu, COVID and RSV activity.
