Sierra Club Accuses Leaders of Environmental 'Dereliction of Duty'
Original: 'Dereliction of duty:' Thanks for helping us demand leadership for environment, people
The Sierra Club is accusing political leaders of a 'dereliction of duty' over their handling of environmental protection, and thanking supporters for joining its demand for leadership that puts the environment and people first. The campaign language suggests frustration with government inaction on climate and conservation issues, and an effort to mobilize members to keep pressure on elected officials.
Why now: An environmental advocacy group is publicly blaming officials for failing on climate and conservation, prompting supporters to rally around the call for stronger leadership.
