Questions raised over Bunker social network riding anti-Meta wave
Original: Alguém tem dossiê dessa mídia social Bunker (bnkr.cc)? Nunca tinha ouvido falar e agora tá aproveitando a onda anti-meta
Brazilian users are asking for background information on Bunker (bnkr.cc), a little-known social network that is presenting itself as an alternative amid the backlash against Meta. Critics point out it does not appear to be federated and reportedly collects users' CPF, Brazil's individual taxpayer number, raising privacy concerns. Many argue the only genuine alternative remains the Fediverse.
Why now: Anti-Meta sentiment is pushing users toward alternatives, and Bunker's data collection practices are drawing scrutiny.
