Original: "We were invited round to Iggy Pop's for tea. We were the first thing John Paul Jones did after Led Zeppelin." Wayne Hussey looks back on The Mission's debut album, God's Own Medicine

The Mission frontman Wayne Hussey has looked back on the making of the band's 1986 debut album, God's Own Medicine. He recounts memorable moments including being invited to Iggy Pop's home for tea, and notes that the band's early recordings were the first project John Paul Jones took on after Led Zeppelin disbanded.

Why now: A nostalgic retrospective interview with a well-known 1980s gothic rock figure is drawing attention from classic rock and post-punk fans.
