Prime Video to Release Turkish AI-Generated Film 'Çukur:Vartolu' Globally

Original: Prime Video Takes Global on Turkish AI-Generated Movie ‘Çukur:Vartolu,’ a Spin-Off From the Hit Series Known Internationally as ‘The Pit’ (Exclusive)

Prime Video has picked up global rights to 'Çukur:Vartolu', an AI-generated Turkish movie spinning off 'The Pit', one of Turkey's most popular drama series. The character Vartolu, famously played by Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, anchors the project. It marks a notable move as a major streamer distributes a fully AI-generated feature to an international audience, stirring debate about AI's role in filmmaking.

Why now: A major streamer releasing a fully AI-generated spin-off of a beloved hit series is novel and controversial.
