Trump Claims Credit For Seizing Greenland

Donald Trump, 80, is quoted claiming that he seized Greenland, a remark being shared with mockery and criticism online. The US has long expressed interest in acquiring the autonomous Danish territory, but no seizure has taken place, and critics are calling the claim detached from reality and demanding credit he has not earned.
Why now: The former president has repeatedly pushed for US control of Greenland, so a new boast about having seized it is drawing attention and ridicule.
