The eight playoff teams in Japan's B.League first division are now decided, with Nagasaki Velca securing the Western Conference title. In the same round of games, the Hiroshima Dragonflies kept their perfect start to the season with a sixth straight win, while the Gunma Crane Thunders suffered their first defeat of the campaign. Attention now turns to playoff seedings ahead of the postseason.
Why now: The completion of the playoff line-up plus Hiroshima's unbeaten run and Gunma's first loss gives fans a fresh turn in the season story.
