Super Mario 64 ported to Microsoft's Zune HD

Original: Super Mario 64 runs on Zune HD through new open-source port

A new open-source port has got Super Mario 64 running on the Zune HD, Microsoft's long-discontinued media player. The feat relies on the well-known reverse-engineered codebase of the classic Nintendo 64 game, which has already been ported to many unusual platforms. Enthusiasts are celebrating the revival of a forgotten device through an unexpectedly ambitious homebrew project.

Why now: People are amused and impressed that a 1996 Nintendo game now runs on an obscure, defunct Microsoft gadget.
