The manga 'Hotaru no Yomeiri' (Firefly Wedding) will get a live-action adaptation in 2027, with the announcement made at the same time as the anime's broadcast launch. The dual reveal has drawn attention from Japanese TV and film fans discussing how the romance-thriller story will translate to live action.
Why now: The simultaneous announcement of both an anime broadcast and a 2027 live-action film is unusual and generated buzz among fans.
