Straw walls shape amphitheater and garden in rural Spain
Original: straw walls shape amphitheater, experimental garden and walking path in rural spain
A new project in rural Spain uses straw walls to form an amphitheater, an experimental garden and a walking path. The design draws attention for its low-cost, natural materials and its attempt to blend public space with the surrounding countryside. Architecture and design commentators are highlighting it as an example of sustainable, site-specific building in depopulated rural areas.
Why now: Interest in sustainable, low-impact architecture using natural materials in rural regeneration projects
