Trump tells Zelenskyy to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries

Original: Trump says Zelenskyy ‘better damn well stop' attacks on Russian oil refineries, calls for new Ukrainian leader

Donald Trump said Volodymyr Zelenskyy had 'better damn well stop' Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries and called for a new leader of Ukraine. The remarks escalate Trump's public pressure on Kyiv amid US-led efforts to end the war with Russia, and draw criticism from those who see them as siding with Moscow.

Why now: Trump's blunt criticism of Zelenskyy and call for new Ukrainian leadership are a significant shift in US-Ukraine relations amid ceasefire negotiations.
