New affordable housing district planned for Eibergen
Original: eibergen
A new residential neighbourhood is planned on the southern side of Eibergen, a town in the Dutch municipality of Berkelland. Regional outlet Tubantia reports that the development is intended to focus mainly on affordable rental and owner-occupied homes. Local discussion centres on whether the plan will genuinely deliver housing that ordinary residents can afford amid the Netherlands' wider housing shortage.
Why now: Local interest in plans for a new affordable housing development in the town.
