PSPi 6 turns a PSP shell into a Raspberry Pi handheld

Original: PSPi 6 – Raspberry Pi in a PSP

A new version of the PSPi project has been released, fitting Raspberry Pi hardware inside a Sony PSP shell to create a DIY handheld games console. Version 6 refines the design that lets hobbyists reuse original PSP parts like the screen and controls with modern Pi boards. The project is open source on GitHub, and hardware tinkerers are sharing and discussing the build across maker communities.

Why now: Retro handheld DIY projects combining nostalgic hardware with Raspberry Pi are popular in maker and gaming communities right now.
