Original: Musk steps up Starlink push, says “competition would benefit Indians”, hits out at “army of Internet shills”
Elon Musk has renewed his effort to bring Starlink satellite internet to India, arguing that competition would benefit Indian consumers. In a series of remarks, he also criticised what he called an "army of Internet shills", suggesting organised opposition to his push. The comments come as Starlink awaits regulatory approval to offer services in India, where it faces resistance from established telecom operators.
Why now: Musk's push into India's closely guarded telecom market is sparking debate over competition and regulation.
