An Audubon Magazine piece by Javier Caletrio urging birders to move away from high-carbon birding practices is being highlighted again, with one commenter noting that three years on, they see no change in behavior among the birders they know. The discussion centers on whether the birding community is willing to cut travel emissions to match its conservation values.
Why now: The article's call for low-carbon birding has resonated with critics who say the community has ignored it.
