CNN: Israeli Military Fire Killed 24 Hostages After October 7
Original: CNN Report Details Israeli Military Role in 24 Hostage Deaths After October 7 Abductions
A CNN investigation reports that Israeli military operations were responsible for the deaths of at least 24 of the hostages abducted on October 7, 2023. The findings, based on what the report describes as extensive interviews and documentation, raise questions about the risks of the military campaign to rescue captives in Gaza and are prompting debate over accountability and the conduct of the rescue efforts.
Why now: The report challenges the official account of how hostages died and puts scrutiny on Israel's military decisions.
