Bushbuck hides motionless from drought in wildlife photo

A wildlife photographer described a young bushbuck forced to freeze completely still to survive, with little cover left in parched bushveld. In the image, a round object beside the antelope that viewers took for a rock turned out to be dried elephant dung. The scene, set during dry, drought-like conditions, is being shared by nature and photography enthusiasts who admire the animal's camouflage and the striking detail of its surroundings.
Why now: People are drawn to the surprising detail that the 'rock' is elephant dung and the bushbuck's remarkable stillness as camouflage during drought.
