Ford pledges steady education funding, criticizes Lombardo's budget record
Original: Ford pledges consistent education funding and questions Lombardo's budget record
Aaron Ford has pledged to push for consistent education funding while questioning Governor Joe Lombardo's record on state budget decisions. Speaking in Nevada, Ford argued that schools need reliable, long-term financing rather than fluctuating commitments, and accused Lombardo of leaving education shortchanged in past budget proposals. The exchange sets up an early clash over education policy between Nevada's top two elected officials.
Why now: A sitting attorney general challenging the governor's budget record signals a brewing statewide political fight over school funding.
