Pulkovo Airport's website down as 'cat scales' launch
Original: аэропорт пулково
St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport is making news on two fronts: its official website has gone temporarily offline, while the airport has also introduced novelty 'cat scales' in its terminals. Travellers and local media are discussing both the outage, which may complicate access to flight information, and the unusual new weighing stations, which appear to be a lighthearted passenger amenity.
Why now: The airport's website outage and quirky 'cat scales' installation are both fresh local news drawing attention in St Petersburg.
