Northern Irish politician Peter Robinson says he was working with police during a protest in Dundonald, near Belfast. His comments, reported by the Press Association and picked up by outlets including the Standard and BBC, relate to a demonstration involving the PSNI. The claim has drawn attention amid ongoing debate about political involvement in protests in Northern Ireland.
Why now: A senior political figure's claim of cooperation with police at a protest is unusual and politically sensitive in Northern Ireland.
